How do I get on top of this task? – it’s too hard!

Often we put off important tasks because they are too difficult, or too complicated, or we just don’t want to think about them. Every year I have to do an income tax return, and I always hate the idea of it.

Subtasks are very helpful for breaking down these horrors into much easier, simpler steps. For my income tax return, the first task might be ‘Find tax form’.
